My waters could’ve been broken on arrival but only just so had the pessary at 5pm and they broke naturally at 7am the following morning. Daughter born 10:05pm that night. I recommend an epidural as the synthetic contractions are awful! The woman in the bay next to me when I arrived on the maternity assessment ward was getting her second pessary and didn’t come down to post natal ward until my second night there so induction can be a very long process. All the best xx
I was induced 2:30pm on the Thursday afternoon and had the rods removed at 2:30am the Friday morning. Unfortunately I’d only slightly dilated enough for them to break my waters later on that day and even that didn’t start my contractions x
@Cat I’m 3cm dilated so ready for waters to be broken, hopefully won’t be too long! Xx
I had a 24 hour wait for waters to be broken at St James’s due to needing to wait for a bed. I’d already been in for two days being induced before that.
I got induced last October on the Friday and had my little girl by the Monday afternoon
