You probabky have diastasis recti I would look into some pelvic floor and diastasis Pt to help heal it ! You will always have a pooch if your diastasis isn’t healed.
Look into c-section massage and definitely get checked for diastasis recti

@Josephine it can be discovered right away . You. Can even do the test on yourself if you lay flat and lift your head and push down in the middle of your stomach where your abs are can you feel a gap between your muscles ! I can fit 3 whole fingers in mine … 😅 not good lol
@Aspen yeah that’s on my to do list. When I went in for my 8week PP appointment they said everything was good.
You should go to a physician ! Mine is a specialist about pp and pregnancy and she’s doing miracle for my scar (scar that doesn’t move create the belly pouch) and gave me the right exercise to fix my little diactasis recti. My OB said a was perfectly fine but I guess she just looked inside and that’s it
But don’t put too much pressure on the recovery ❤️ don’t forget we made a whole human 🥰 it is a huge body change ! It’s taking time and that’s okey :)
I’ve been doing exercises to heal my diastasis recti and I can really see a difference in my pooch. https://youtu.be/D2iUYQMaQzM?si=2sc-sKNa0GXqpAJD
@Marilyn thank you!!
@Allie yes that’s pretty common Obs do not really check or focus on diastasis recti they are just checking the healing etc . Diastasis is technically considered normal …
It took my belly almost 15 months to really look at little like my old self. I did lot of core exercises. Even though I didn’t have DR. C sec mama here.
@Ruby that’s what I read that it can take time for our bodies to “bounce back.” So I’m hesitant on making a Dr appointment to see if I have diastis recti
@Allie make it. U need to know if you have it or not . So you can do the correct exercises. And insurance covers it so no harm 🙂

@Ruby I agree with this ! If you just do regular exercises and abdominal exercises etc you can actually make the diastasis worse not better there are specific exercises to help heal it ! Also a regular doctor isn’t going to do anything about it you need to either see a specialist or I suggest a physical therapist
@Aspen yes ! For example you should not do crunches or planks as that can make DR worse . There are also lot of YouTube videos around it. It helped me a lot.
