Post-bath routine?

Otis adores the bath but when we get him out he screams! Which undoes all the good work of the bath. Does anyone have any tips to keep him calm? We put his towel in the dryer so it’s warm and he has his dummy, we do a little massage with coconut oil and have the lights dimmed but he just hates it!

Make sure your room is warm, it might be a temperature change problem. The baths at body temperature so the room should be similar.

My little one is the same, only a couple of times he did not scream once taken out -.-

I was wondering the same thing! Ours loves the bath and then screams the minute we take him out and no idea how to make it better x

Mine is exactly the same!! Going to try putting a heater on next time for when he gets out x

It's because the room is colder than the water and being wet makes them colder even quicker. Mine loves the bath, screams when I take him out, stops when he's wrapped in his towel. Unless you can heat the room high enough to be similar to the water then I think it's a case of them getting used to it

I cover my girl with a muslin whilst I’m drying her/getting her changed again. She used to scream until I started doing it xx

My LO didn’t like the massage so I stopped and now she doesn’t cry after bath unless she hungry.

Omgggg😍😍😍😍

My little girl is the same, the last few times as we took her out of the bath seat we dipped her legs in a few times (like jumping/splashing) in the big bath and then wrapped her in her towel - she didn’t scream so don’t know if it’s because it’s not such a harsh transition 🤷🏻‍♀️

Congratulations hes so cute bless him, my baby girl is the same at bath times shes 5 weeks old she loves her baths kicks her little legs trys suckin her hands but i have to quickly try get them away as there all bubbles on them when its time getting her out she screams i think where they are relaxed and comin out gettin that bit of coldness to them they will cry .. i try and talk to her and giv her dummy or play a musical baby toy but somtimes nothing helps just try an be quick dryin an dressing them an there bottle straight after ❤️ 💤 xxxx
