Transition from bottle to cup

I posted this on another group I hope I could find help here. I’m trying to transition my 14 months from bottle to cups. She’s used to drinking water from cups and straw bottles but she won’t accept drinking milk that way. I decided today after some research to go cold turkey. She didn’t have any milk all day (she usually has 3 bottles a day). I gave her enough water and made sure she had dairy each meal. But I’m feeling so guilty and I’m worried that she decides to stop having milk and not succumb. My goal was to keep giving her milk till 2 years at least. Any advice? Did anyone go through that and what was your result? Am I doing something wrong?
