Bottle to Cup

My daughter is 16 months and is having a really difficult time transitioning from the bottle to cup for milk. She drinks water from cups just fine, but milk she only wants in a bottle. Anyone have any suggestions?

Milk in a bottle is her comfort. Transition bottle to cups with straws. Once you remove bottle, remove it completely so she learns that this is her transition moving forward.

Thank you! That’s helpful! I’ve been trying sippy cups and she just fights it so hard.

Completely normal, she will fight for the first week. Lean her slightly back when she drinks through the straw. She will think it is a bottle and will learn how to suck through the straw. Versus just sitting down and her putting her mouth to it not know what to do. Also, try and get non plastic cups and more so steel. The plastic ones tend to mold quickly!
