Lean pcos

My weight is 64kg and BMI is approx 25.(I was around 69 and reduced to 64kg. Still no improvement in period cycle). Does this mean I have lean pcos. If yes, anyone know how to overcome this, get regular periods and conceive?

Look up Clare Goodwin, her podcast helped tremendously. I took Myo dchiro inositol and avoided sugar and high Glycemic index foods and that got me back to my regular periods in about 2 months. (Didnt have period for 6months before that hence why I got diagnosed with PCOS by GP) my pcos is adrenal and insulin resistance based so these worked for me. This journey started in 2022 for me, we started trying for a baby this year 2024 February and got pregnant first time which was a shock as we thought because of my PCOS it will take a lot longer.

If you aren’t overweight then yes you have lean PCOS. I do too, I tried inositol which is the recommended supplement for PCOS but it did nothing for me even though I have insulin resistance too. I cut down on refined sugars and ate more healthy, whole foods (I’m vegan anyway but a lot of women find it helpful to cut out dairy). I had regular reflexology treatments and my periods started, and gradually became somewhat regular (I would tend to have cycles ranging from 48-68 days but still ovulated). I also saw a herbalist as well which helped too. A few years after, we decided to start trying and I fell pregnant straight away, and because my cycles became a lot shorter after having my first baby, I had a bit of a surprise pregnancy last year and now have a 6 month old as well.

Hi @Debi nice to know. I am already taking myo inositol. I am following to low carb diet now. Most people say do some physical activity. I am hitting gym almost everyday but it’s not helping much with my weight. May be I am stressing too much. But yeah I ll listen to the podcast

@Gayathri one of the other things I learnt is that you shouldn’t be doing high intensity exercises as it raises the adrenal levels, thing such as pilates, yoga, swimming etc work a lot better. Im a bit rusty on all the info but Clare Goodwin has all that information on her website and podcast she also runs a course which is a bit expensive but I did do it as I was desperate at the time and it helped me a lot. But theres a lot of info in her podcast too thats really helpful. I think she literally had an episode where she talked about her being an athlete runner and she suddenly started gaining weight so she exercised more but nothing helped thats when she found out she had pcos and done research etc found out about how high intensity exercises can worsen the pcos.

Thanks @debi. I ll have a look

Thanks @Jessica I don’t have much time regulate my periods and then Start trying. We already been trying for 2 years. But sure I am following proper lifestyle now. Hoping for good things.
