Colostrum

Struggling to get colostrum I'm only getting little drops in the syringe.... does it matter how much I get before Thursday? Only because baby will be going on breast when he's born so he'll be getting the colostrum anyway... can someone tell me if it matters how much I get

I literally haven’t got a drop! I’m due on Friday and starting to stress as I can’t get any! I plan on breast feeding I just hope I have it in me!!!

Collecting colostrum has no reflection on your ability to breastfeed don’t stress

What Amy says... I was able to express quite a bit of colostrum but had low milk supply due to IGT

@Charlie what's IGT? I've only been advised to express colostrum due to the gestational diabetes because apparently it will increase it being passed to baby 🤷but when my baby is born they would be checking baby's blood after each feed
