Autism

Do symptoms progress? Have you notice your toddler do things different from before? His appetite has changed I thought at first a phase then I saw his teeth and thought that was the issues but still has. It gotten better maybe even worse? He still eating but definitely a change. Only when he is really excited he will flap a closed fit hands. Lining up toys he rarely does it but that is new and not taught. I got him speech evaluated but said can take 2 weeks.

Toddlers change! Their brain is growing in leaps and bounds! Often they start noticing things they never saw before. Because entire regions of their brain start working better. How old is your kid? My baby is almost 2 and loves lining up her animals! Her tastes are totally based on what she feels like at the moment. And I've seen lots of grown adults flap their hands when excited. Unless you are seeing something else I don't think those are autism signs.

@Anna it’s like little things. All together just make me doubtful I was sure he wasn’t but now I’m confused. He spins at least once day (I thought was average) he likes to sit in boxes they translate into him like being in tight spaces and he has a favorite lovey it’s squish they made translate that as it was for a sensory purpose. I’ve noticed An appetite change he’s very active sometimes he can be up 11-13 hours straight without nap. He doesn’t really put two words together (which was my initial concern) I’ve noticed it i don’t give him good he won’t ask or be like girl u haven’t feed me!? Like on his own but will go get snacks. Idk things I thought were average might not be but im not an expert

How old is he? I would probably be concerned if he is 3. But if he is still under 2 that all sounds very normal to me. Toddler development is so unique and little ones all love exploring and learning about their world in different ways.

@Anna he is 24 months
