Sicky Baby

How much sick is too often / too much? My little girl seems to be being sick after pretty much every feed, it can be as soon as I sit her up or up to 30 minutes later! She’s EBF and will feed for 5-20 minutes every 2-3hrs! I think it probably feels like a lot more is brought up than actually is but still when is it normal and when is it a worry?

I’d worry if she wasn’t putting on weight, having wet and dirty nappies or if the sick wasn’t milky/ clear. Otherwise if she’s happy and alert then I wouldn’t panic. My little girl is exactly the same, my little boy now randomly says “uh-oh Edie sick” as he’s so used to hearing it from us. Their oesophageal muscles aren’t particularly strong at this point so vomiting after feeds and reflux is something they should naturally grow out of ☺️

My little girl is exactly the same. The doctors have put her on infant gaviscon to help which is helping a lot but she had still sick. It’s so scary isn’t. But the doctors told me as long as they are putting on weight then there not really worried x

My little girl was exactly the same. In Australia we call them “happy chuckers” - so long as she is gaining weight, peeing/pooing and isn’t too unsettled, it’s nothing to worry about. My daughter outgrew it and is a totally healthy 2 year old. Sorry about all the laundry though, it’s a nightmare! xx
