Just do trick or treating! If you don't like the candy aspect of it for your toddlers, have them trade it in for something age appropriate but still fun at the end of the night. If they are too young, stay home and hand out candy. They will like to rush over to the doorbell and take out/put in candy for visitors. If it's past bedtime put them in costume and let them play at the park earlier in the day. You can also trick or treat in your hallway. Have them take their pail and visit all the doors and hand them toys. Make sure to read extra Halloween books, too!
It’s just my neighborhood isn’t the safest
Go to a friend or family member's neighborhood, or just an area of town where you'd feel more safe. Unless transportation is an issue, there is no rule that you have to stay near your house. 😀
Ooh following for the same information! I've got two teenagers who are too old, and a baby of 17 weeks.
