Stop using baby wipes. Makes the area more irritated. Begin washing her after every diaper change with a fragrance free soap that’s safe for babies. Pat her down dry and let air dry for a couple of minutes. Apply Calmoseptine ointment (you can buy on Amazon). It treats the rash better because it’s an anti-fungal ointment. This method helped my baby get back to normal within a day

I would recommend messaging or calling the doctor to see if they can have you walk in. It may be an infection that needs a prescription cream. When my son had a bad diaper rash when he was a newborn, the pediatrician said for me to stop using baby powder as that was making it worse. While waiting for the doctor, I would recommend not using wipes for now and also using a thick diaper paste.
@Martha not atp. it’s just red. goes between being little red spots to full on red over the entire area
Sounds like it could be yeasty related. Arrowroot powder is great for this. It knocks it out in a day for me. Also zinc oxide diaper rash cream works better for me than regular cream. Naked as much as possible. If you are breastfeeding you can express some and mix with the diaper rash cream and paste it on there too! I would definitely check with your provider when you can see them.
I've taken my baby to urgent care multiple times for various things (bump to the head, bad congestion, fever, etc.) and they never ever made me feel like I was overreacting. Maybe try to find a walk-in primary care pediatrician, but if not then urgent care isn't going to point and laugh I promise. They'll help. That said, I agree with above: could be a yeast infection or just a rash that needs something stronger to help knock it. Best of luck.
Oh and: if you can manage it, give her some diaper-free time to air it out. I know that's easier said than done though.
Metanium nappy rash cream is amazing! You can get it on Amazon. It’s, like, $10, so it isn’t very expensive either. You should also try letting her be free with no diaper for at least an hour a day for some relief. My baby had really bad diaper rash when she was a newborn and the midwives recommended metanium. She has never had diaper rash since! It went away in, like, a day too. Now I just use it for her nighttime diaper and change her diaper every 2-4hr in the day.
Do you see any oozing or bleeding?
