Colostrum coming in

Is it normal that I'm 31 weeks pregnant and my breasts still feel normal? According to most websites, your colostrum is supposed to come in your second trimester, and your breasts start to feel more full and heavy, but mine have just continued to feel normal. Has anyone else experienced this and still went on to have a normal milk supply? When did you start to feel the difference in your breasts?

Mine felt normal up until a few days after birth I was induced at 37 weeks and baby wouldn't latch so have been pumping and I'm producing enough to feed my baby without having to substitute with any formual

@A thanks! This is comforting to hear!

I'm feeling the same.... due in December. I'm glad to see there is still hope I was getting worried.

It’s normal and your colostrum is probably there. Not everyone experiences all of the changes doesn’t mean colostrum isn’t there. But if you do desire to breastfeed, a breastfeeding class is the way to go.

Mine grew but didn’t feel anything and had no other signs. Went into labour at 36+4 and the colostrum just came immediately! I did struggle with milk supply but that was because my baby wouldn’t latch and I couldn’t pump regularly enough

I am I the same boat, 31 weeks almost and no sign of colostrum

I never produced a drop of colostrum while I was pregnant but I’ve had excellent supply (and even oversupply at times) right from the start. I’ve been going strong with breast feeding for 8 months now. My boobs didn’t feel at all different or heavier until about day 3ish postpartum when my full supply came in, which is totally normal. It was wild though, I just woke up from a nap and BAM! I had massive hard tits out of nowhere like an 80s pornstar.

Thank you everyone! This makes me feel so much better to hear all your stories! 😊

I started pumping around 32/33 weeks to get mine going. By the time my LO came, I had enough stock in the freezer to help keep her healthy the last four months! Don’t feel bad if it hasn’t started becoming noticeable, it’ll come when your body says! If you need anything let me know!
