Are you pacing feeds? Burping reflux babies regulthroughout the feed is very important I had 1/3 reflux babies and had to use reflux formula / breastmilk thickener They helped with the projectile regurgitation too Fast feeders with more liquidy milks make it worse for reflux babies Hope that helps xx
@Hope thanks for the advice, yeah we are doing that some days the reflux is worse than others, it tends to be on the days she’s straining for a poo as when she strains she ends up being sick more. The gp did prescribe gaviscon but that made her constipated xx
@Laura no problem, the gp advised us to prop up her mattress only slightly with a small blanket to try and help but that doesn’t work for us x
My 1st daughter was exactly like this on kendamil and we ended up having to switch her milk as Kendamil is made while whole milk so is a lot richer than the others and my daughter’s tummy just couldn’t settle on it! I switched her to cow & gate just because it was the cheapest at the time and she changed almost instantly she was also on gaviscon for her reflux xx
@Leah Oh really?! Did she still suffer with reflux once you changed? X
I would get bub checked for a tongue/lip tie as well, could be that the latch isn't good on any teat you use and she is taking in too much air with feeds. Happened to BOTH my babies 🙄
@May we have a private appointment for that this week and to see if she has any tension causing her not to latch properly xx
That's great to hear! I hope they can give you some answers
We are using Kendamil too and similarly she squirms a lot with wind. Also her stools are quite loose, soak into her nappy. Do you have similar? I’ve got some gripe water to try and help with the wind / uncomfortable feeling. I doubt it’s an intolerance, I think there are more severe sign. Hope your appointment goes well
My LO has suffered very similar from about the same age. He’s now 7 weeks and we seem to be settling more! We tried everything like infacol, gaviscon, colleif drops to try and help as he would scream in pain with wind and wouldn’t settle at all. Since we’ve put him on aptamil anti reflux with gripe water in every other bottle he seems to be able to pass wind abit easier from both ends and is now starting to sleep longer at night in his moses. I also brought an anti reflux pillow (you can get them on Amazon) and it was honestly a god send. I put it in his Moses or buggy and use it on his play mat aswell so he’s not laying flat. Don’t get me wrong he still does bring some bits up but no where near as much! I will get better!
@emily try probiotic drops to help with the pooping x
We struggled with My first and had her tongue tie cut which helped, but also pace feeding and burping every 20-30mls helps BIG TIME. Also, the Dr Browns anti colic bottles which have a vaccumn and then not laying them down for about 15 mins after a feed. We are doing all the above with our new addition and fingers crossed is working. The times she’s been windy have been when I didn’t burp her enough xxx
Gaviscon ask dr for it
@Dani we tried that and it made her really constipated x

How did the appointment go?
Sorry to hear this. I’m just following as we’re in a similar situation. Although he’s been fine lying flat during the day but tonight has been sick every time we lie him down 😫
