Hemorrhoids- blood- help?!

This is going to be all so tmi, I ’m 32 weeks pregnant and on Monday evening I started getting awful pain around my bum, I’ve had haemorrhoids on and off during this pregnancy but I didn’t speak to anyone because I had it in my last pregnancy and knew it was just one of those annoying symptoms at this stage. However, yesterday it was so bad I couldn’t walk, my partner had to do school run because I couldn’t even walk to the kitchen. It literally felt like my bum hole was falling out. I contacted GP who told me to drink loads, eat fibre and in the meantime apply some ‘organic’ cream. Well all I have is literal bum cream for my daughter like sudocrem and matanium, so I used the yellow one as I swear by it. Over night it has got rid of the majority of the hemorroids, accept for one which was the most painful and was still there before I went to bed last night. Got up this morning for a wee and there was half a teaspoons worth of blood in the toilet and on the tissue. Double checked it was definitely my bum and not something to do with baby, which I definitely think it is. I don’t really know what to do now, the GP asked if there had been any blood which there hadn’t, do I just continue to keep an eye? Do I call the GP back? I go to the DAU every week for blood tests so know if I’m worried I can speak to them. I’ve never bled from my bum before so have no clue what the next step is or if I should just continue as normal and hope it resolves😅

If it’s fresh blood, it most probably is from the haemorrhoids, so don’t panic. It probably is worth getting the doctor to check though for your own peace of mind x

I got them after my previous labours from straining. The only thing that helped me get rid of them was drinking pure aloe vera juice. Now im not sure if you can drink it during pregnancy, i know ladies that sell forever living (avon of aloe vera products) they usually carry on drinking it but ive only had it after birth. You only drink 50ml a day which is a basically a mouthful. It made mine disappear both of the times within a month. I used an organic cold pressed one but there are other options available too. You can get it online, in Holland and Barrett or some Waitrose’s have it too. Also, when going toilet avoid straining and holding your breath, instead breathe in and let your body do the work. Introduce chia seeds, flax or psyllium husk into your diet. Just always pre soak for at least 10min, have it in a glass of water or a smoothie. You can also apply aloe vera and coconut oil externally to help heal just check that the aloe is alcohol free as it can irritate it more

The GP can prescribe Anusol :)
