@Tiffany they’ve been rotating Tylenol and ibuprofen and his temperature still keeps rising with both in his system he’s been having Tylenol and ibuprofen in his system since Monday night and he’s still getting fevers
@Stephanie did they rule out Covid and rsv? Have they done any other testing for cold/flu? It may just be his body having a hard time fighting off an infection. When they are this young small colds can be big for them. A lot of time when my nephew had this happen he usually had a simple cold that needed antibiotics and after a few hours of taking just one of the antibiotics he was up and playing. If they have tested for literally everything including meningitis then it sounds like they’re doing everything they know!❤️ I hope they get u some answers mama, the fear of not knowing sucks so bad. I hope he starts feeling better.
@Tiffany they are waiting for the results of his spinal tap they haven’t said anything at all whatsoever
Sending major prayers mama. I cannot imagine what you are going through. Every fiber in my mom heart is aching for you. Please keep us posted
@Erinn he’s still in the hospital he’s on day two of staying in the hospital and hopefully we get discharged tomorrow or sometime later this week he’s hooked on oxygen and on iv fluids
@Tiffany the Covid Rsv and flu tests and strep tests were all negative
How’s he doing today? So sorry to read this. Sending you so much love ❤️
@Adriane he’s still in the hospital and they said he’s probably gonna be here till Monday or Tuesday he was admitted three days ago so if he’s here till Monday or Tuesday it would be 6 days to a week and three doctors have seen him and they heard a heart murmur so they ran some labs drawing blood and gonna do an echocardiogram of his heart he’s not even 2 yet he’s only 19 months old so it’s scary he’s been on and off with the fevers and everything they’ve been doing round the clock Tylenol and Motrin when he’s able to have it and he’s just been really tired and sleeping a lot since we’ve been here
Oh I just cannot imagine! Feel free to keep me updated if it helps you feel supported. Sending him a blanket of protection tonight in my prayers 🙏🏽
@Adriane it’s so scary with him being so little and so young they are doing some more testing tomorrow to see what they can find
Sending you and your little one all my love and prayers 🤍 I know how scary it is. It’s so so hard being in the hospital but he’s in the right place to get the help he needs. Keep us updated
@Melanie The doctor said something about him having epec which is a form of ecoli and that in his right lower quadrant there’s some free fluid but they still have more labs to wait for to come back so he will still be in the hospital a couple more days
Update he is still in the hospital as of now and we don’t know when he will be discharged
@Stephanie what are they saying now? Ecoli? Heart murmur? Praying for you and your family everyday. My sister’s baby was in the NICU for 10 months after being born at 28 weeks. I have seen miracles happen. These kids are more resilient than we as their mamas could ever imagine. I know it’s really hard right now, but know you’re in the right place until they can sort what’s going on and little guy is on the mend. 🫶🏻

@Erinn he has E. coli and they are still saying they hear a little heart murmur but they say they aren’t worried about the heart murmur they said it will most likely go away once he’s not sick anymore
@Stephanie poor little. Good news about the heart. How are you holding up? Sending a big hug your way tonight
@Erinn it’s heard because he’s still in the hospital and we don’t know when he’s gonna get discharged yet he’s been in the hospital since Tuesday October 1st it’s hard seeing him being in a hospital bed and not at home playing
@Stephanie I can’t imagine. Just snuggle your baby when you can and try to stay strong for him, and yourself! You’ve got this. He’ll be back home with you all & playing in no time 🫶🏻 Do you have support there? A partner?
@Erinn my dad comes here when he can but he works a lot but most of the time it’s just me here
🙏🏽
He’s still here and he will be discharged tomorrow morning
Sadly the seizures are completely normal and can happen many times. My nephew has them anytime he spikes a fever. It so scary to watch and made me feel so helpless so I couldn’t even IMAGINE if it was mine. It’s just something some kids go through and some don’t. He should be okay tho as long as they have ruled out anything major like RSV and Covid. Have you tried asking if they can rotate Tylenol and ibuprofen? That may help keep it down. They won’t let it get to an unsafe temp!
