Sucking hands / Self soothing
My LO is 7 weeks old & has started to suck his hands / self soothe during the night. He still appears to be asleep when doing this but is pretty noisy at the same time. Sometimes I'd think he'd want feeding but he'd be too sleepy, not feeding properly, etc, so now I'm not sure. Has anyone else experienced / experiencing similar at all? He does get upset when he can't find his hand again.

Normal for them to find their hands and start self soothing. If he was hungry he'd wake and cry for the feed. if you've tried feeding and it's not that then it sounds like self soothing!
Babies are pretty noisy sleepers and often move around a lot. Very normal to use hands to self soothe. If they’re hungry they’ll cry and wake, while they’re just tossing and turning or actively sleeping leave them be x
My baby’s 3 weeks and been doing it since like 4 days old 😂😂I wouldn’t worry xxxx

I think that’s a Que that he is hungry, if he is too sleepy to feed, maybe try waking him with a nappy change then feed him, then he should go back to sleep
