All I will say is keep up with the routine of twice a day and telling her how important it is and giving lots of praise! As long as you’re trying your best don’t worry too much about getting them super clean. Has she been to the dentist before? Could they help? Xx.
My girl went through a phase of hating it as well. So I got her a toddler basin & step where she could do it herself which improved things and we play the same brushing song every day (Charlie Hope brush your teeth) and now she loves brushing. We dance as well 😂 I usually let her brush on her own for one song length and then we play it over and I take a turn. I always talk her through what’s happening as well and that made her less upset because she knew what was going to happen i.e I’d say: time to brush in 5 mins, baby’s turn for 2 mins, mommy’s turn for 1 min etc. And we do it in the bathroom with the door closed, she knows that we leave once brushing is over because there was a time she would just run around the house away from me as soon as the toothbrush came out 😂🙈
@Beth thanks! No hasn’t been yet but it’s on my job list for this week to get her booked on. Thanks x
@Jess love this! Thank you!! Where did you get yours from? X
Maybe try giving you lg the toothbrush to do herself to get her more used to it? I’ve given my lg a toothbrush since 6 months just to bite and I think because of that she loves brushing her teeth she asks to do it. She didn’t let me brush when we first started so I let her do it so she got used to it and then when she was more familiar I let my daughter ‘brush’ her teeth once I’ve given them a scrub so she’s got that independence of doing it herself. Ms Rachel brush your teeth song helps too if your a fan of her 😅
@Jay🧚🏼♀️ thank you, I do let her do it herself too but she just doesn’t take to it most of the time x
My little girl hated it for a little while too, we always sang a toothbrush song and did a little celebration and high five after doing it to show it was a good thing to do and eventually stopped having a problem with it
@Jess are you able to share a link to this please? I have to use force to clean my daughter’s teeth and it’s less than ideal. We both dread it so if I can get away with not having to pin her down that would be good
We started watching the Blippi toothbrush song on YouTube to to do my daughters who also hated it, she doesn’t mind now and will do stress free x
