@Valerie how did you find the Taking Cara Babies course? Was it worth it?
My daughter will be 10 weeks old on Friday and she did something similar to this the night before last. I woke and gave her a binky because it seemed like she was crying in her sleep. As soon as I gave her her binky, she settled and was sound asleep again. She doesnât really wake at night for feeds much anymore, at least over the last couple of weeks, but Iâm told that their sleep patterns change as they grow and develop. Use your instinct, momma. If you think theyâre hungry, they probably are.
Thank you! So we both fell back asleep and then an hour later she was up again and I gave her a bottle (which I'm glad we did cause she was def hungry) then she settled and slept till 845 this morning! I think between now and 4-5 months if she wakes we said well offer her a bottle in the motn cause she's still a petite little bebe lol if she sleeps through great but if not I think we'll feed and see how it all plays out đđź
No, I would not wake her. Both my girls slept through the night since 6/7 weeks. No issues and gaining weight.
@Gina Absolutely worth it! With my first son I was trying at all cost to avoid crying out methods and sleep training. I figured eventually heâll sleep through the night on his own⌠cut to- 13 months later, and I was still nursing him back to sleep every 1-2 hours, sometimes heâd do a 3 hour stretch at night. I used the 5-24 month sleep program and it worked night ONE! There were tears on both ends, myself included. I wish I wouldâve done this sleep training and night weening method as soon as possible, which wouldâve been at 5 months. This time around with my 2nd son I plan to do the Taking Cara sleep training again at 5 months. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you and your little one! https://takingcarababies.com/sleep-training-tips

If her pediatrician didnât have concerns about her gaining enough weight, then sheâs free to sleep through the night without a feeding. Between 4-6 months, if you decide to sleep train or ânight weenâ you can do âdream feedsâ a couple times a night. Look up dream feeds. Itâs where you go in at night, while sheâs sleeping and feed her, then put her back down without waking her up. The idea is that she doesnât wake in the middle of the night and you donât feed her in response to any crying. Thatâll help solidify her sleeping through the night. I did the âTaking Cara Babiesâ sleep training with my July 2021 baby. This is where I learned how to implement night weening. I only did this for 3 nights as recommended in the program and after that, my son slept through the night from then on. Good luck mama!
