Nursery free hours
My mat leave officially ends at the end of November, but I have annual leave tagged onto the end of that so I don’t go back to work until January.
Do I apply for the free hours nursery code 30 days before my official mat leave ends (start of nov) Or 30 days before I actually go back to work? (Mid December)

Not sure how old your baby is but the funded hours kicks in on the first term after they turn 9 months so you may have to pay full price if starting it in December
Yes. From the end of mat leave because technically your back to work even though your on annual leave x
Before your maternity ends as annual leave technically your working , I did this for my nhs role and applied 30 days before my maternity leave ended but it was annual leave
