100% worth having something downstairs, I have a Moses basket that rocks downstairs and use it all the time, even if it’s just to put them down whilst you go to the loo or try and grab a drink or something!
Yes 1000% as baby will sleep during the day and you can keep them close to you downstairs xx
Plus it's safer than putting baby on the sofa or the floor where there's a chance they can be sat/stood on
With my first we had. travel cot in the living room and next to me in our room, with my second we had a moses basket in the living room and next to me in our room, so so handy
I couldn't of lived without mine!
We've bought a moses basket for downstairs so baby can nap in that during the day. For us, it's important as my husband works from home next to our room so don't want baby disturbed when he's in meetings or for him to be disturbed by baby waking or trying to settle
We just used the pram. We got one that was approved for long periods of sleep in the bassinet and then her next to me for upstairs
Used the pram bassinet downstairs on a generic adjustable moses basket stand. She outgrew that at about 4-5m and we started using a baby nest cushion on the sofa (to prevent rolling off sofa) for supervised naps, or used the nest on the floor if I would be in and out the room during her nap. A nest isn't a safe sleep option if left alone but it's okay for supervised naps and baby shouldn't be left alone til 6m+ anyway.
We’ve got one for downstairs as we’ve got a dog so need to be able to have baby out of the way - also absolutely no way I’m carrying something up and down stairs every day 😅 got it for £40 from marketplace.
Just have a little think about where you are likely to put them down to nap during the day. I personally have a very small 2 up 2 down terrace house where you walk from the pavement straight into the living room, so we just used the pram (as it was certified for sleep) as we didn't have room to store a pram and a travel cot/moses basket etc. (I don't drive so couldn't leave the pram in the car.) If you are planning on not keeping your pram in a room you're likely to be napping in, I would say it's worth it 😊
We just used the carrycot from his pram for daytime naps x
Yes, definitely. The baby should be sleeping in the same room as you for the first 6 months, day and night. A pram bassinet that is approved for sleep would do the same job x
We use a mini travel cot for downstairs it so useful
Definitely yes, it made life easy re naps, answering the door, nipping to the loo etc x

I wish I had got a Moses basket when I had my little boy and I would if I ever have another so yes definitely worth it
...unless you have a velcro baby who will only contact nap 😂
I have a Moses basket upstairs for bedtime and downstairs for the daytime naps - makes life so much easier! 🥰
