I’d keep an eye out for mother and baby events /Black Friday sales and just have a list ready of the things you’ll need. You can also have a look at second hand stuff as most things are barely used for any length of time. I think boots have their event right now. At the end of the day, if the baby came early, think about what you would ‘need’ as the minimum and start with that. Toiletries and clothes etc can come after baby is born and be bought last minute at a supermarket or online. Somewhere to sleep, car seat, stroller would be my list.
We didn’t do it in any set order and just bought stuff whenever we saw it but you can always do it in order of priority so what’s the most important thing you need and then work your way down? x
If you're wanting to buy a brand new travel system it may be worth doing that early as some of them can take a while to come into stock and are on back order (like popular colours of popular brands - icandy biscotti I'm looking at you 😆). But other than that i just spaced things out and bought a couple of things a month, we got all furniture 2nd hand so snapped that up when we saw it, same with next 2 me we got on FB so just got it when I saw one I wanted. Toiletries and stuff I've saved until 3rd trimester
I bought a travel system, got, next to me all second hand which made it easier (just replaced the mattresses) I started picking up toiletries and little bits when I went food shopping so I’d have a little stock, same with wipes and nappies! I already tried to go to TKmaxx for bottles as they are a bit cheaper than everywhere else 😊
