Date night

My baby is two weeks old today! And I'm wanting to plan a date night with my partner so we can spend some time together. But I'm feeling guilty, my mum would be fine watching the baby and we want to go to the cinema. When did people leave their babies for a couple of hours? And is it ok to do this? (Baby is formula fed) TIA

I done exactly this when my baby was 2 weeks old! We just needed a break, my mum came over and looked after my little boy and we went to the cinema and had a meal afterwards. Was really what we needed, don’t feel guilty about wanting a bit of time to yourselves x

We did this the other day for a breakfast date! My baby was just over 4 weeks. It was lovely and we felt so refreshed when we got back home. I felt a bit guilty before going, but I realised we needed and deserved some quality time not being mum and dad, and that made me feel better. Enjoy your date night!

My son was a month exactly when me & his dad went out for a meal, spending time together is well deserved & so needed when having a baby x we felt guilty before going but realised we to make time for our relationship to it’s what builds the family unit, let your hair down & enjoy!! xx

We left ours at a month old for about 8 hours. It was really hard but we needed some time to ourselves to bounce back. The guilt is something you will find easier each time you do it and remember looking after your relationship is just as important for the sake of your child too!
