Fuck the public. If your kid is a runner, they will prefer the backpack to the pram, which is your only other option.

Mine is a runner i definitely need one

@Kirilee couldn’t agree more! I was super against all these leash things before becoming a mum. But now it’s like whatever is going to be the safest option for me and my kid is the best option.

I was looking at getting the wrist one? Is it good? I would love to give my boy a little independence while keeping him safe at the same time

I got one, have only used it once so far but think it will definitely come in handy!

Stuff what society thinks. Backpack leads are a good way to keep your child safe if they're a runner and won't sit in a pram. My now 14 year old was a runner and she had a backpack with a lead and the amount of times I had to pull her back before she got hurt was crazy. I like the backpacks because the kids can pack things they want to take with them. My daughter used to pack a drink bottle, a hat, snacks and a toy in hers. She loved having her own little bag and I loved the fact that I could keep her close without confining her to a pram

@Naomi just ordered one should be here in a few days I’ll update you x

@Emily couldn’t agree more definitely will buy one now thanks🫶

My daughter used hers until she was about 8. It had a removable lead so once she stopped running off I just removed the lead part and she used it as a normal small backpack

Thank you! And thanks for asking this question. It's great to see all the positive feedback.

Gorgeous doggy backpack from Big W… it’s only for a “little treat” when we go somewhere special like the city or airport. I travelled just me and little man to the uk last year and the backpack was the key to safely managing giant airports.

Mine was and is still a lifesaver. I don’t trust myself to be able to hold onto her with just my hand - they slip out so fast! It’s brought a lot of sanity to my shopping trips especially when I’m on my own and hubby’s away. I’ve had a lot of interesting looks and I don’t give two hoots. It’s about my daughter’s safety.
