Yesterday, she went 9 times...lots of farts, and they ranged from mucous to white little bits in her poo to really thick lumps. There was one that smelt very fishy. She normally goes once a day to twice a day, sometimes skipping a day. She is combi feed but I'd say more formula now.
It could be, my little one was diagnosed with cmpa at 4 months old because of blood in her poop, but if there's been a significant change in number of poops in a really short space of time like you describe I'd be thinking it's a stomach virus of some sort. Either way I hope you get seen by a doctor soon.
Thank you @Laura still waiting for the 111 to call back.
It’s definitely possible to develop an allergy this late, my son didn’t have any allergies until 10 months and suddenly couldn’t have milk. He’s allergic to dairy and his nappies looked exactly like this with the blood & mucous x
Thanks @Lara was there any build up to it
Nope he was exclusively breastfed and I had dairy the whole time, then one day he randomly came out in hives & had blood and mucous nappies, then every time since then that he’s had dairy he’s reacted the same! So weird x
Thanks @Lara we've had no hives as of yet...just wish a bloody doctor would call or see me.
Has little one got any other symptoms as the first couple of times I took my little one to the doctors due to blood and mucus in her poo they refused to diagnose her with a CMPA until she had more symptoms. We ended up in hospital due to food poisoning (we think from a burst water pipe) and like you said my little girl went from pooing every 2-4 days to having 11 loose nappies with blood in every single one of them and they still wouldn’t diagnose her with a CMPA until we spoken to a paediatrician x
Update we went to AnE after advise from the doctor said she's got gastroenteritis and it's also affecting her with a sore throat...caught it from someone at baby group...
go to the doctors as either way blood in poo could mean serious problems
