Daughter absolutely hates pushchair

Help! She use to get in herself and the last few weeks will go crazy if I try to put her in. I’ve started to put off going out as she will walk to the end of the street and then will only be carried, in one arm 😂 she screams when I try to change arms, screams if I ask her to walk, screams extra loud if I attempt to put her in her pushchair. She’s just had the biggest meltdown because I physically couldn’t carry her anymore, I’ve done something to my bicep and shoulder (think from carrying her) so we had a 5 min standoff until I had to pick her up as she was laid on the floor sobbing. My closest park is a 20 min quick walk, but in between her tantrums & carrying her it takes about 45 mins and it’s stressing me out leaving the house now as I know it’ll lead to a painful arm and tantrum. But Also staying in sends me crazy! How do I get her to go in her pushchair? I’ve tried bribing with snacks, being firm, asking nicely lol

Can you use a toddler carrier? My son doesn't like to go in the pram anymore either, luckily he is happy to walk but also we take a carrier as he's too heavy to carry him for a long time without it now

I second the toddler carrier. I also have a trike that she prefers over the pushchair. I ask if she wants to ride her bike x

I sold my carrier recently as she would always refuse that too. Maybe I should’ve kept for a little longer! Yes thought about a trike but they’re so expensive, I’ll have to look on fb marketplace x

@vicky thanks I’ll take a look! Which carrier do you both use please? I had the ergo baby360 which was nice but a little difficult to do up by myself. Just wondering if I should get on Vinted for another 😂

Ive got a integra carrier, i got it off vinted. I bought a chest strap for it as they don’t come with one and it kept falling off my shoulders. Ive also got a ring sling but only use that for very quick carries x

In the exact same position with the not walking far and then wanting to be carried 🙈! And my daughter is just too heavy now but also strops if you don’t or you try put her in the pram. Sorry no advice but just know you aren’t alone, I feel your pain 😫💕

I’m going through the same! It’s so hard. He even refuses to sit in the car seat so that takes me about 25 min extra now. I think I should just not leave my house for the next year or so as it’s such a battle!

@Josie - hi! Is this wild ride easy to put on? I’ve been wanting to get one as I like it more than the carries but not sure if it’s a faff to put on!

@Uzma you wear it like a crossbody bag sits on your hip and the weight of the child secured them in it’s really easy to use I have a bjorn carrier which is up to 3 years but that’s a faff. I carry it everywhere when I’m out with lo and she loves sitting in it you can get different brands that are cheaper so shop around
