Hand foot and mouth
17 month old has got hand foot and mouth when can I send her back to nursery they said when it scabs up

The offical guidance is as long as they are well enough in themselves they can go in, but nurseries may have their own policies to stop the spread!
@Zee dont you think thats crazy... they should atleast follow a stay at home for 10 ten days policy. I dont understand why nurseries would want to have other kids picking it up.
@Sarah I thought so too, but when my GP said HFM is like a cold and children could get it from anywhere. Unfortunately they could get it again so the NHS guide is vague therefore each nursery has its own policy.
@Zee my doctor said they are more known to spread to before the spots come out obviously our nursery’s policy is once the spots aren’t blistering any more they can go back
My nursery doesn’t have a HFM policy so they told me I could send my LO in.
