I’m finding the same thing! I was worried my supply was too low for him but then I used a haaka pump and got loads out so that’s defs not the issue! I think they are going through a growth spurt plus they are preparing our bodies to produce more milk for the coming weeks. I find that if I switch between boobs during feeds with little pauses in between to burp him or distract him eventually he relaxes and seems satisfied. And like Ellen said, sometimes I find that he’s actually happy and full once once I’ve taken him off and distracted him, even when he was fussing like crazy on my boob just a minute earlier. That works especially well if you can hand him to someone else to distract him!
My health visitor said that he's not due a growth spurt until 4 months so I've been thinking it's due to a low supply 🤦🏼♀️ good to know my boy isn't the only one though! My little one hates being pulled off to burp. I think he's a little impatient and loves to gulp down milk 😅 I've offered him both boob's during feeds but maybe I'll try putting him back onto the first boob to see if he can get anymore if he's still not satisfied. I'll be looking forward to seeing the back of this stage!
We’ve just came through the other side of this. He’s 11weeks and for about 1.5wks he wanted feeding all the time both breasts and frequently for a longer period of time. He’s now back to his usual schedule 😁
Wow I’m going through EXACTLY the same thing at the moment with my LB who is 11 weeks!! He literally never seems satisfied & I was thinking it was a low milk supply issue too, which I’ve never had a problem with. Was going to go out tomorrow to get some formula, as I don’t know what else to do. So reassuring to know others are going through the same thing!
Such a relief to see other mums commenting with the same experience 😌 I can't wait to get through the other side of this as I've been so close to giving up with breastfeeding 🥲
Ours is the same! My breastfeeding consultant says it can be normal at this age and so we are just persisting and find when she starts fussing we bring her off and if she’s full she is easily distracted with a toy or play 😌
