Baby carriers

My 5 week old is a contact sleeper only during the day. I started out with the wrap carrier and because my back hurt so much I switched to the ergobaby omni dream carrier that works for newborns. Has anyone else used both a wrap and a more structured carrier? I feel like he doesn’t sleep as well in the structured carrier

I'm trying to find something mine will be comfortable in. Seems like all the ones I have he doesn't like. I have the ergo 360 (have had since my oldest was a baby -6 years ago), then I also have the boba hybrid (he's hit and miss on if he'll tolerate it) and boba wrap (which I haven't tried since I haven't felt like I've mastered putting it on. My friend is selling me her hope&plum lark carrier that I can use at 3m! So I'm excited to try that one! So I'm following to see what others are trying!

I have tried so many and cannot find a good one that works for me. I don't think my 7 week old likes them. I tried Kea babies, mom cozy wrap that has rings, ring sling, ergo baby embrace and mom cozy the structured one. I feel like with all of them - his head flops back and forth. I can't figure out how to get a deep enough pocket with the ring sling. I'm considering the Omni 360 but it's so $$. I'm nervous to keep spending money of things I cannot figure out how to use properly!!!! How are all these women on TikTok so good at it and I'm clumsy af with all of them!

I use the momcoxy wrap. It has 4 points on the back so it’s more stable and it can fit up until 2 years. I haven’t had issues with my back.

I was gifted the mesh Baby Bjorn and I love the support.

https://a.co/d/98KKUFO I really like this wrap. The comments say it’s identical to the solly baby wrap which is like 3x the price. I have an ergobaby carrier but it’s too big for him without the infant insert (which I don’t have), an infantino 4-in-1 (which I hate. It’s the worst. Don’t waste your money.), and a mesh ring sling for showers/pool. I’m looking forward to him being big enough for my ergo because while the wrap is great, it’s way more convenient to pop a baby in and out of a structured carrier when you’re running errands!

Thanks everyone for all the input! Anyone else’s back killing them from carrying around a baby all day? My mid back in in agony

I started with wraps when he was small, but the 2 I had were so thick and way too warm. He also just couldn’t seem to relax in them unless I laid down, which defeated the purpose of wearing it. I got the momcozy carrier a few weeks ago and it’s so much more comfy for me and he’ll actually sleep while I’m doing chores. It’s not as soft though so I have to make sure he’s wearing long sleeves and pants to avoid irritation
