Making Mama Friends

Hi all, I have a six month old girl and have been doing the baby groups (at least three per week) since she was six weeks old. I live in a town in Cumbria and but am originally from a city an hour away. I also don’t work in the town in which I live which I feel has affected me making friends. I would really love my girl to have some little friends around her age but I’m finding making any mam friends pretty impossible. I’m friendly and approach other mamas / spark up conversations which has allowed me to make lots of acquaintances but nothing more than that. I’m finding that many friendship groups have already been established and everyone seems to have at least one person that they’ll arrive to classes with or I’ll see out and about with. I also live in an area where everyone knows everyone so for local people, mamas probably always know someone with a baby. I’m spending a lot of time on my own and I worry that my little girl isn’t getting any strong connections with baby friends / social development. Is there anything else I could be doing? X
