Advice needed, is hard Italian style cheese safe to eat during pregnancy even if it’s made with unpasteurised milk? I’m getting conflicting information online. 🤯

Following as also confused with cheese. I know Brie and Camembert are a no. But wasn’t sure on Parmesan mozzarella etc
I read somewhere about hard cheeses not having the right moisture to harbour bacteria but then the fact it says unpasteurised puzzled me. X

Check the NHS website that’s the best one so far x
so I think hard Italian unpasteurised cheese is ok. 👍🏼 x

I find this confusing too I had a little taste of Gruyère last night after having read the NHS advice and then turned the packet of cheese over and it said not suitable for pregnant woman 😰 I had already swallowed a little bit but spat the remaining out to be cautious.
I’m confused when it comes to mozzarella can you have pasteurised mozzarella on a pizza as it’s been cooked?
