Your mother may never change, but you can and will. Think of one or two moments from your childhood where you were alone or needed a comforting adult. Envision your current adult self stepping in to help little you and give her what she needed then. You now have the love available within you to share with your younger self. Google reparenting, but skip the self-help articles and go to a source produced by psychologists. You are worthy no matter who your parents are/were. ❤️

A couple books I would recommend- toxic parents and adult children of emotionally immature parents I would also highly recommend looking for a therapist to help you process these feelings as well, if it’s within your means. Most take insurance and open path is a great source for sliding scale.
