Birth plan - can i change it?

If i’ve already done my birth plan, but want to change it, eg I want to add a second birthing partner (my hospital allow 2 people). I’ve only put down my partner, but have come to the decision to bring my mum too - do i need to tell my midwife in advance, or can my mum just come with us at the time? Thanks
