You may have looked into this but just mentioning this just in case...make sure the flange is the tight size as this can really impact how much you pump. I'm trying to increase mine too x
@Sarah i use the hospital grade Medela pump and I pump until my breast’s are empty so like 20-30 minutes
@Lemees i feel like mine is right because a lactation consultant gave me the pump to rent out and checked my nipples for the right flange size, but she could’ve been wrong i guess? I don’t know how to tell if it’s the right size or not.
It's probably right then if she checked it for you. You can buy a pack of flanges from amazon and it comes with a nipple chart. You fit your nipple through the hole and it tell you which flange size to use. Sometimes each nipple may be a different flange size xx
@Lemees good idea. Thank you!!
Also need to drink LOADS. like LOADS AND LOADS and plenty of food.
Stay hydrated with coconut water, fennel tea & fenugreek tea. Also, eat lots of lots protein & get rest. I’m not sure what your situation is, but if possible you may find having your baby feed from your breasts from time to time may help stimulate your milk production.
I second the protein and healthy fats, for me that was the trick on top of staying hydrated/electrolytes. You should have a snack whenever you pump you need a lot of calories to produce.
Which pump do you use? And how long is your pump sessions for?
