I agree with candise id wait a little longer if you can i thought i was 6 weeks when i had a bleed and they couldnt see on the scan and i had a further two weeks of bloods and scans to see what was going on but i had ovulated later so it wasnt adding up with my last period date x
Thank you ladies xx
I got an early scan as we had plans to go visit family and didn't know when the NHS scan was. Baby scanning was really good to us. Whatever you find out there though (like edd based on scan type thing) the NHS will not use
As long as you don’t mind an internal scan with the wand thing. But yeh I agree wait until like 8wks to actually see anything xx
Definitely do it to put your mind at ease. We had a Loss last year that we found out at our 12 week scan, so the 6/7 week one really helped us. We went to ABC4D at corstorphine, the girls in there are so lovely, we’ve been for 4 more since then! Xx
I had a 6 week scan at acb4d at Corstorphine
We saw a heart beat, fetal pole and the gestational sac so that indicated that all was ok.
I have also been to baby scanning at Edinburgh park for three scans. The staff are brilliant and it’s reasonably priced.
@Kirsty thanks Kirsty. I’ve been looking at babes in the womb but might look elsewhere if you’ve had a good experience there!
I’d wait until maybe 10ish weeks you might not be as far on and if your not it could end up worrying you 😅 I had a scan at 5 weeks and they couldn’t find the baby or a heartbeat (I was meant to be 7 weeks) and had 2 whole weeks of worrying about what was going to happen before finding out it was just too early at that point but I’m now 8 weeks and baby’s okay However for my last pregnancy I used babyscanning.co.uk to book the appointment mine was Glasgow but there’s one in Edinburgh (assuming that’s where you meant 😅)
