Birth at Kings College Hospital or Princess Royal?

Hi all, I’m just looking for advice on where to give birth. Both hospitals are ‘requires improvement’ for maternity care and I just wanted some first hand experience about how the care throughout pregnancy and during Labour was? Ideally I’d like to choose a birthing centre but be close enough to a hospital in case anything goes wrong (first time mum), but I’d love all experiences please 🙏🏽 Thanks ❤️

I recently had my second baby at PRUH - it was a really good experience. My first was born at St George’s (started as a homebirth) which was a bit more eventful so quite hard to compare experience. I was on the birth centre at PRUH and they were great there - it may have helped that it was super quiet but the midwives were lovely. I’d happily birth there again. Hard to judge with different scenarios, and it was my second time, but I felt very comfortable and the care was brilliant - they were extremely supportive.

I had my daughter at princess royal, the support I recieved was unmatched I was suppose to give birth at kings college and they didn’t care, even down to my appointments leading up to labour they didn’t ask what I wanted or anything especially as a first time mom I was very lost on how it all worked but once I moved to princess royal I was supported and my mind was put at ease they really do go above and beyond there
