Griffin as a boys name

I love Harry Potter but my first thought was Family Guy 🙈😂 it's a cute name though!

Nope only the mythical creature comes to mind

My first thought was Harry Potter then I thought of family guy! I don’t think you can avoid it. If you like Finn just go with Finn or if your set on Griffin but don’t want the connection just announce him as Finn and Griffin can just be on birth certificate for close family to know?

I didn’t make that connection and I’ve read all Harry Potter books.

Personally don't see a big connection and I live harry potter.

My first thought was Peter Griffin (Family Guy is based on Griffin family) and I don’t think you’d want that common association either. Griffin is a cool name, but there’s way better options for the now

I think Griffin is a great name. I did not think Harry Potter or Family Guy. I feel frustrated when people make associations with good names and then dislike them because of the association their brains made. Ive always loved the name Dexter for a boy, but bc of all the associations my boyfriends brain is made from it he crossed it off our list of names 🥲 lol. Go with what you love. I love Griffin as a teen boys/adult males name too, its very distinguishable and character defining, super cute.

I honestly didn’t think of Harry Potter, but did of Family guy too. If you’re on the fence about Griffin in any aspect, Finnegan or Finley also give the nickname Finn ❤️ But if you love it, go with it!
