I was also 3cm dialated and fully effaced from like 36w. One day we went to the lake and walked around a lot, I remember thinking it was rough on my hips. At around 3am the next morning my water broke and he was born less than 3 hours later
I was at 3cm at my 39 week checkup. No contractions or other signs. Went into labor 12 hours later. I didn’t do anything during that time besides go on a little walk. Your body will start when it’s ready! And the good news is it should be a faster labor! My two were 8 hours and 5 hours.
I was 2cm and having some period cramps intermittently... had unprotected sex and an hour later contractions started.
So true with the faster labor and that’s great but it’s my first so it’ll be interesting to see how it progresses! I’m 39.5 wks now so any day now I’m sure! Just trying to trust in the universe and baby to know what to do now and be patient but I do not want to medically kickstart contractions if I can avoid it!
@Chelsea totally understand! I went two days past my due date with my first. The absolute worst two days ever 🤣 I was so miserable. But my OB at the time insisted that I wait a few more days before choosing an induction because she was so confident that my labor would progress and need minimal intervention based on how dilated I was (4cm by my due date)! I’m so glad I listened to her
Yes I’m wondering the same, I’m 3 cms, 70% effaced, 40+5 and still no baby
Spinning babies
@Mariah seriously! Still no baby after 3 more days 😓 I thought I was starting labor twice now so it’s emotionally draining and I didn’t quite prepare for this route. I really hope my body can jumpstart real contractions soon, naturally!
@Sasha I’m thinking of doing a membrane sweep on my due date first if anything! Hoping I don’t even need to do that 🤞🏼 I have every symptom of labor except the painful contractions, it’s more discomfort than anything for daysss
I started pumping colostrum at 37 weeks - WITH THE OK FROM MY OB. Didn’t work though. Lol. I got about 20mL colostrum and delivered at exactly 40 weeks! 🙌🏻
Congratulations!! It’ll start when it starts don’t rush the baby, I enjoyed bouncing on the ball though when I was in early labor.
