@Natasha thank you, I'm not set on what I'll do yet, I had my mind set on breast feeding and expressing but honestly as a FTM I'm clueless
You and me both Hun (on so many topics). I think until baby is here, we won't know how we get on with it either. There could be struggles with latching etc but it's good to have an idea on what we would like to do. Either way, we'll always do what's best for us and baby ☺️ definitely worth speaking to your midwife though x
I’m going straight to formula, only because my little boy has a milk allergy so if I need to use milk free Formula it’ll be a lot easier to change over too xx
I’m formula feeding x
@Natalya Same! But I’m EBF this time and cutting milk after Xmas so it’s not in my system. The prescription formula was a nightmare for us would rather not even bother (we combi from day 1)
Planning to EBF as I did with my first. Hoping baby #2 is as good a feeder as baby #1 was ❤️ I did build up a freezer stash for hubby to give some bottles and for when other people looked after little one but you still have to pump when people give bottles to maintain supply so it’s easier to feed from the breast most of the time! xxx
@Madeleine same it’s gross, stinks! Felt so sorry on our wee boy having to drink it. I’m hoping to be successful breastfeeding this time 🤞🏻🤞🏻 (we had twins last time and I just couldn’t manage!)
@Madeleine honestly I couldn’t do that😂
With our first I was so keen to breastfeed but a stint in the NICU when he was first born made it really difficult so I ended up combi feeding by pumping and using formula. The pumping was tough as it was so time consuming to keep on top of. This time I'm hoping to combi feed again but breast and formula as I definitely won't have as much time to express with having our toddler x
@Natalya Ngl it was tough…no cheese, no chocolate. But I honestly believe it’s the reason I didn’t binge eat and balloon postpartum! Almost looking forward to the forced diet this time because unlike with a girl last time this boy has me craving sugar like I’ve never experienced and I’m huge 😵💫
@Jo SO gross…looked so greasy and the cleaning was the worst!
My first refused to take my nipple and it was too much to try and pump all the time so I ended up formula feeding. I think the best way to think about it is your plan is just that a plan. Fed is best in the end however that ends up looking so if breastfeeding is your plan and it doesn't end up working that way to just be compassionate with yourself and go with what ends up working for you and this particular baby. X
Thank you everyone for your comments 😊 @Luci I have a very open mindset on this, I'm not set on certain things so if what I like doesn't go to plan then I won't be frustrated on it 😊
Sounds like you're being kind to yourself which is the right attitude. Hope it all goes well for you. X

@Madeleine I wish I could try breastfeeding but the tablets I take when I’m not pregnant wouldn’t be safe. I have an autoimmune disease and fibromyalgia so formula is a lot easier especially because my partner can help when I get ill
@Natalya Ahh I’m sure you have a much better GP than we did! The struggle to get the special formula was a lot 🫣
I am planning on fully bresstfeeding. Due to nicu I pumped and breastfed with my little boy but due to weight issues he had to go onto formula but I really don’t want that at all this time!
Hi lovely, I'm also hoping to Breastfeed and express. I've read that by doing both, it'll increase milk flow but I can't say I've looked up about breastfeeding and formula x
