I bought a few multi packs of bodysuits, leggings and socks all from supermarkets and just use those on rotation!
We have a local swap/preloved sale that happens every month or so, itâs ÂŁ10-20 to fill a bag depending on the size of the bag, and less if you take clothes to donate for the next sale. Itâs so good for stocking up on things for nursery, I came away with about 40 items last time! Definitely worth looking to see if thereâs one near you!
@Yasmin thanks so much hun! I completely forgot about vinted.
@Grace thats so cool ill just to see if we have that in Milton Keynes!
@Liv yeah I think the multipacks make things so much easier
Charity shops have a lot of pre-loved but still good condition clothes. Also basically any supermarket brand clothes (Asda, tesco, sainsburys etc). You can get multipacks or on sale items to make them even cheaper.
Vinted Most likely the clothes will get covered in paint or given to another child so donât spend a fortune! Everyday I get given someone elseâs clothes for my children đ€Ș
Asda George do packs of 7 matching top and bottoms, mine mostly wears them or we mix and match colours sometimes and add a matching clip! Vinted also good đđ»
We buy multipacks of tops and trousers from supermarkets. Asda and Sainsbury's are good! I wouldn't get too worried saving kids clothes for best though because they'll grow out of them before you know it so won't be able to wear them anyway.
If youâre in the south there is a company that organises tabletop sales of kids stuff called âlittle picklesâ. They are brilliant for picking up loads of cheap clothes in 1 go (normally 3 items for ÂŁ1 type prices!)
I love Matalan for clothes
Vinted leggings and t shirts, easy to crawl around in don't get under their feet and nursery is roasting. I actually got some nice leggings from Matalan
I like matalan and George Asda! Cheap and cheerful
Be open to him wearing the nicer clothes as they grow so quick that soon they wonât fit đ x

@Louma omg good point!! If you give your nursery this will they actually put it on the babies before or will it just be added clothes? Thats my worry. I saw this at the first nursery i toured they supplied these for the kiddos but the one i ended up registering with they didnât mention so ill ask in our next settle in session. âĄ
@Emily good point! gotta do what you gotta do with what you have sometimes!
@Erin B love me a cheap and cheerful!! I think ill bisit matalan bc the pieces i saw in asda honestly were not cheap and quite nice loool
@Jessica im so glad i posted this as i wouldâve never known!! Nice alternative to vinted as you can actually have a look at the clothes in your hand! X
@Caroline yeah true point! My sons on the smaller end, hes 13 months old and still in 6-9 months and sometimes can fit into 9-12 months depending on the brand. So ive been able to get long term use out of his clothes thankfully!
@Abbie sorry whered you find the pull over fleece? Bc i havent found any reasonable ones!
Omg yall are so helpful thanks so much ⥠xoxoxoxo
Primark or Vinted! Primark do like ÂŁ4.50 ribbed sets and ÂŁ2.30 jumpers - he lives in those! Definitely donât send in anything youâre precious about as they come back a mess between mealtimes/ messy play/ garden play etc and despite the best stain removers it doesnât always come out! We have ânursery clothesâ and home clothes. Anything in the home clothes section that gets badly stained becomes nursery clothes! Your LO will have so much fun.. & youâll need to invest in some stain remover haha đ x
