Preeclampsia or nothing to worry about?

Hey yall. Yesterday I had experienced some super weird symptoms at work! My vision got very disoriented, as in blurry and I was seeing black areas. This lasted about an hour. Immediately afterwards, all of a sudden the right side of my face and my right hand all went numb??? At that point I called my boss and said I needed to go to the hospital. I got to the closest emergency room, after being checked in I sat there for an hour before even getting called back to simply have my vitals taken? Out of the 5 hours I spent yesterday at the hospital I had to ask them THREE times to check on the baby before they actually did??? I left uneasy because all they could tell me was “what caused my symptoms was unclear”. So now today I’m driving an hour out to the hospital I will be delivering at because there’s no way it was just “nothing”. It wasn’t normal. A lot of family keep mentioning preeclampsia and after looking at my most recent visit notes at my OB, protein was in fact present in my urine but idk what the “normal” amount would be. They didn’t say anything about it Tuesday after giving them the sample? So is it nothing to worry about?

I had pre-eclampsia with my first, when I was working one day (I was about 24 wks pregnant) my whole right leg gave out on me, I had a very bad dizzy spell, and after going in for an emergency visit with my OB, she said to stay off of my feet, no stress, etc. it wasn't until around 30wks where my BP would not go below 167/78, which isn't great. My protein was fine, 14 on the scale, but my sodium and iron were gone. Are you having any swelling or anything?

Just the protein alone shouldn’t make you worry. However the vision part sounds scary and I think it’s the right thing to have it checked a second time to make sure. Try to stay calm and not stress yourself too much and keep us posted. Good luck today 🍀

@🖤 Rose 🥀 mainly in my hands, I only having swelling in my feet when I’ve been on them a lot during the day.

That's what happened to me, so definitely let your doc know and keep an eye on it! My pre-eclampsia was rough

i went to the er at 26 wks because i had blurred/spotted vision while driving and when i went in my bp was very high so i ended up being admitted and doing 24 hr urine test mine was 600 i think anything over 300 is preeclampsia via Google, but i definitely would be urging my docs to check it because it can escalate very quickly apparently. They were checking my baby nonstop while i was admitted so that hospital sounds weird to me to not be doing that for you.. maybe go to a better hospital or something idk girl goodluck tho and def get the advice of a real doc instead of just us here but i think its always good to go to the hospital if you are worried about something being wrong, mama knows! 💕

I had a very similar vision thing happen to me and it was unexplained but equated to just being on my feet too long/ what they think was low blood pressure and not high. As of now I’m fine but I try to rest more. I had the vision thing happen 2 times. I said if it happened a 3rd I’d call the doc but it didn’t and I had an apt the next day. I bought a blood pressure machine and am measuring it myself now just incase
