Cell phone provider?

Adulting question: what cell phone provider do you use? I've been on my parent's Verizon plan forever. We've only ever had Verizon. My mom has wanted me off her plan for years now. I need a new phone and figured might as well make that switch at the same time. But it's just me. My husband is on his parent's plan and has no desire to switch. My dad thinks I should switch to a cheaper plan like Google. But since the people I talk to and text the most have Verizon, I assume it's in my best interest to keep Verizon. Any advice?

I previously had Verizon and they were so expensive. I switched to AT&T and it was the best thing I ever did! They are so much more affordable and I have found my service to be better. You can keep your phone number. I took my phone number with me. Because most plans are unlimited text and talk now you don’t necessarily have to worry about sticking with the same service as everyone else

I had Verizon when I was on my parents plan, then when I moved out and got my own internet(it was Comcast/xfinity) I got my phone service through them too. We’ve since moved from where xfinity works and we use tmobile(best service for our area)

And I’ve be able to carry my phone number with me each time

I switched to Verizon from AT&T 3 years ago and it’s been the best I’ve had, albeit pricey. I get a discount through my employer though. So there’s that.
