Sudden dislike of bottle
For the last 12 hours my 8 week old boy keeps pulling away from the bottle. He is combi fed breast milk and formula but it doesn’t matter what’s in the bottle he keeps doing it. He shows hunger signs but when I start feeding him he shoves away and goes rigid and cries and then shows he wants it back but does this over and over. I’ve tried winding , taking him out for a walk, nappy change. He had his vaccinations on Tuesday and was under the weather but still fed well. He just falls asleep on the boob as I tried to see if he’d breast feed but no. He wants to be held and then sleeps. He has been awake and active earlier in the day but wouldn’t sleep overnight and now won’t really eat. Could he suddenly hate the teat? Any advice? He’s fed less than he would normally so I’m a bit concerned
Could it be that the milk isn’t warm enough? Our LO just suddenly started to hate the bottle (expressed milk) even though we hadn’t changed anything. We then tried warming it a bit more than we usually did and he took it well again. If not could be that they’re ready to move up a teat size?
