Mild cramping whilst pregnant

I’m 14 weeks today, had a healthy NHS scan last week at 13+1 and I’ve been experiencing on and off mild period like cramping. It’s not painful just uncomfortable. I’ve had no bleeding. This is my first baby as well. Anyone else experiencing this?

I had this around 13 weeks, and also had some light bleeding had a scan done and all was fine, they said it could be from where by body thinks I'm still having a period and the cramping is pretty normal, ring your midwife they are so helpful especially if it's your first, everyone has been helpful xx

i had this! very normal, i’m almost 27 weeks and i still get what feels like period cramping. i was told it’s due to your uterus stretching to accommodate baby X

Hi Natalie! So scary isn’t it - I panic with every new twinge! I’ve had a fair bit of cramping though and my midwife said it was likely ligament changes and unless they last a while not to worry. I spent a very long day in a&e last week due to bleeding as well as cramping and it ended up being a hematoma which is fairly common and can cause a bit of cramping too - might be worth reading up on those. Also look up ‘lightening crotch’ a delightful term but basically just cramping/ pain but again, totally normal! If it doesn’t ease, definitely worth a call to your midwife to be on the safe side 💞

I’m having cramping now at 10 weeks but scan today showed everything was fine 🥰🥰

If it’s mild it should be nothing to worry about, I was the same few weeks ago and it comes and goes, it’s the stretching inside
