We had HFAM (again!) recently with our 2 year old. I asked my midwife and they said no real risk if you contract it in pregnancy for baby - just unpleasant for us!
Same here in 37+2 , my daughter is 2yo and has hand foot mouth this is maybe day three Im just giving in, giving her all she needs from me. My doc said not to worry chances are you already have antibodies and if you don’t it’s not dangerous for you nor the baby. Worst than can happen if you spontaneously give birth between now and recovery is baby will be checked and monitored. Also doc said more contagious before symptoms start and when the spots come the fever usually goes away and by day 2 of spots child is no longer contagious.
I don’t have any antibiotics atm I’m just giving him calpol and lots of fluids
@Keren oh right Thank you sooo much This is a relief atleast
Yeah, my daughter had HFMD starting 1 week before my booked induction. I was asymptomatic. Unfortunately, my hubby started to show signs just before my induction. Overall, we are all good, no signs of HFMD for my newborn yet. Keeping an eye on things and hoping that I passed on antibodies before giving birth to him 💚🤞
@Nora omg I’m so sorry that’s what I’m facing rn Hopefully it all goes before next week
Me myself my son has gotten hand foot and mouth and I’m 38 weeks today. And I can’t isolate from him either He’s got. Blocked nose My partner too has got a cold and sore body Honestly I’m just giving him more fluids and treating it as cold at the moment
