Starting nursery clinginess

My LG has always been so happy and independent. She would always go to anyone happily and would be content sitting on the floor playing with her toys while I pottered around. Since she turned one two weeks ago and started nursery she has become unbelievably clingy. She cries any time I set her down on the floor or when I leave the room. She won’t go to anyone anymore without crying, even her Dad. She’s ok when I’m not there, still not as happy as before but content playing by herself but as soon as she catches sight of me she starts crying and crawling towards me. Is this a phase she’s going through because of nursery or could this just be a personality change? I really miss my happy girl :(

A similar thing is happening to my baby boy and he's not going to nursery. He'll be turning one in a couple of weeks.

There is a phase in the first year of life, can’t remember when exactly, that babies legit go thru this phase of only wanting their mom and being suuuper clingy. I wonder if that is the phase your LG is going thru
