Bath seats

Has anyone upgraded to proper bath seat yet and if so what have you got? I’ve had a look about but I’ll be honest they all look horrible and I’m worried about catching baby’s legs as I’m lifting him out in the seats.

So I was given the angel care baby one that’s like the next stage when they’re sitting up but I hate it. Struggled so much getting her legs in and out and washing her! I’ve gone back to using the newborn which she’s too big for but it’s easier. Not sure what to do next

I got the angelcare one for £8 from vinted. I think the only reason I've found it easy to get her in and out of it is because she's able to stand for like 3 seconds.

We use a bathtub and use 2 of us to bath her one person holding and other shampooing. But she does hold the sides of the bath tub now and trying to sit independently so should be a one person job soon hopefully.

yeah they look horrendous and I was so disappointed because we’ve had the newborn seat and it’s been great, my baby boy is a wriggler anyway and I just feel like I’m going to have an accident getting him in and out of it

I have one but don't get on with it. She sits unsupported so I just put her in the tub 🤷

Avatar

yeah exactly the same as us. She sits up well and it would be easier to just put her in the bath without a seat at this point but too risky

The snuggle bath is amazing!xx

I am exactly the same! My little boys legs went all read in the angel care seat and his willy looked all squished 😭

Avatar

I want to do that but I’m using an emollient for his eczema and it’s so oily and slippy 😭.

Avatar

oh yeah, I had that for my toddler when she was little, turns them into slippery little eels 🤣

I've been told you can turn the angel care seat over when they can sit up so will definitely be trying that soon. I tried a few weeks ago but he was still a bit wobbly! He now arches his back in the seat so he slips out of it 🙈

We’ve had to get rid of both bath seats we had as my boy is just leaping out of them. So we do a version of tummy time in a very shallow bath now.

Avatar

we have the same one. Can be slightly difficult getting him in and out, as he's super chunky, (99th centile for height and weight) but no different to a high chair!

I’m still using the newborn bath seatcwven though my sons technically too heavy. I’m going to get a non slip bath mat and just put him straight in our bath soon - just with less water. He can sit for ages so hopefully that’ll suit him. He’s 98th percentile so also too heavy for the next seat up. He loves to lay in shallow water to splash like a mad thing so I reckon he will be fine.

Avatar

that’s genius why didn’t I think of that lol

Avatar

I was turning the angel newborn upside down but now she just sits by herself. I got some grip spots which stop her slipping

Avatar

We have the sit up angel care seat but I really don’t like it! I find it so hard to clean her in it and feel like I’m not properly getting her clean. The other day I ran her a shallow bath and just lay her down/sat her up in it and it was so much easier! X

I've this bath too and love it

He use to sleep through the night now he is waking up every single night in the early morning, I've had to transition him to a toodler bed as he kept climbing out his cot. Just need some advice on what I can do to help him get back in to a sleep pattern?

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲
