@Kate thank you, he doesn’t really wake much during the day other than to cluster feed! But he has little time where he’s actually awake and alert. I have tried the love to dream swaddle and he didn’t seem to be a huge fan but will give it another go as it’s been a week or so! Tried infacol but unfortunately it didn’t work. Thanks for the tips!
I agree with @Kate, I cap my baby's naps at 2 hours each. He isn't awake that long yet either, he's also 3 weeks. I try to keep him awake 30-45 minutes which is basically just bf and nappy change. If they sleep too much in the day they won't at night. They do cluster feed at 2-3 weeks too so that could be it, which does pass. My baby did it night before last, it is brutal. We used tommee tippee swaddle bags & play white noise all night.
We went through the same thing with my 4week old, he was screaming with his tummy pain. We changed to comfort milk, have started using colief & gripe water. He does seem to be in less pain thankfully. Also found it helped to up him to 5oz so it could be hunger keeping your little one awake?
is he sleeping most the day? make sure you wake in the day after a couple hours and nap in bright places with lots of noise. i’m constantly disturbing my little one on purpose so she’s never really in a major deep sleep for too long and she sleeps in 4hr stretches over night. is he cold or too hot? had you tried the love to dream swaddles? i literally swear by mine and my friend brought one and then her little one was sleeping well during the night too. Maybe try some colic drops in bedtime bottles for help with tummy pain? xx
