I didn't think it was worth it for me. I've already sorted contravention, had a mummy mot with a physio and no mental health issues but they did a thorough check of baby again to make sure everything is OK which I wouldn't decline
I have to agree with Chloe. I had a severely traumatic birth with my son, and several awful experiences with health care professionals post birth, that I am now terrified to go see anyone however when it comes to my child I wouldn’t turn down any checks, as there’s always that small possibility that something may have been missed, granted I’m with him everyday and whilst I have no concerns , that’s not to say something may actually need to be looked into, then again he could be completely fine but my motto is always better safe than sorry and I’d rather just tick it off for the peace of mind. To each their own though, your child your decision!
Is this the postpartum check up by the GP? I thought this was only meant for mom and not baby - good to know it's both :) mine is coming up in a couple of weeks and I'll go.
I don’t see why you would when they do the NIPE screening again, and may pick up on things you’re unaware of… Appreciate having hassle with the doctors (I’ve had the same) but would never decline the checks to make sure my LO is okay x
