Early labour?

With my first baby I had some strong period cramps that came and went and that was the sign I was in labour. With this one I have woken today at 40+6 I am having pains just with every step I take I am crying out and feel like my organs are going to drop out my body if I don’t cross my legs😂 I’m confused because I haven’t noticed any strong tightenings on my belly and the pains aren’t coming and going they are just every time I try to stand up or even take tiny steps it feels like baby is going to fall right out with the pain and the pressure it causes. Anyone else experience/ing the same?!

I'm 38+3 and could have written this myself.

I'm 40+5 and having the exact same thing. I feel like I can feel the baby's head between my legs every step I take causing lots of pressure and discomfort. I had a sweep yesterday and was told I'm 2cm and cervix is really thin and she could feel all of the babies head. But not much has happened since the sweep except for losing some mucus plug.

@Rupal I also had a sweep yesterday. 2cm and lost my mucus plug afterwards. I thought something would happen yesterday but nothing. Are you booked in for another sweep?

@Hollie I have another appointment on the 18th and the induction is booked for 19th so not even sure if there is any point in going to the 18th one. Do you have another one booked?

@Rupal booked in again on Saturday, not sure if I’ll have another sweep though. How come your booked in for an induction? Just personal choice or?
