What would you do?
If you had something that you didn't need anymore and it was something you got for free, would you let a person who you thought was your friend, have it for free? This person probably will never talk to you after because they no longer work with you and you are slowly realizing that they probably weren't a real friend to you. They admitted to you that they probably won't be calling you much because they will be busy with their new job and because we don't work together anymore.
Would you still give them what they wanted ?

Yes you got it for free and giving it to someone in need despite not having a friendship is a good way to pay it forward if you feel they’ll actually use it
Well if you’re done using it and it’s just sitting around collecting dust, what else are you going to do with it? Save it for another friend? Sounds like maybe you’re not ready to part with it yet
